MOUNTAIN LEGACY-CHESHAM CREEK [February 2007 Issue]-No Label, No Number.

Chesham Creek is a six-person group headed by Donny Nuckles (guitar and vocals). This CD includes 13 selections composed by Nuckles that reflect his memories of growing up in the shadows of the Appalachian Mountains. "Beacher's Prayer" recalls his uncle's life as a coal miner, while "Boys Who The Wore Gray" and "Ol' Rebel" pay tribute to the soldiers of the Confederacy. Other noted titles include "Fletcher's Ridge," "Virginia Rose," "When I'm Called Home," and "Whitten's Letter." Donny Nuckles and Chesham Creek have created a heartfelt collection of melodies that should be appreciated by anyone who holds memories of days gone by. (Chesham Creek, 11828 Cemetery Rd., Remington, VA 22734, http://www.cheshamcreek.com/.)
